Bharatya Janta Party (BJP) Friday asked the students from Jammu and Kashmir studying in educational institutions outside the State to show respect and regard to the laws to ‘enhance the image of JK in the eyes of nation.’
The students of JK studying outside the state belonging to any religion or region are ambassadors of the State and they should conduct themselves in manner befitting the persons belonging to State with rich heritage and dedication to nationalism, BJP State, chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi said.
Sethi noted that lawlessness or anti-national conduct shown by even a single student from the state brings disrepute to not only student community of the J&K but the state as a whole and such conduct on part of any person is condemnable and deplorable and can’t be tolerated in any situation.
Sethi in an official handout said patriotism and nationalism are not favour being shown to nation or fellow countrymen but is a ‘pious duty’ towards motherland and has to be honoured and displayed without fail by all.
“Students of the state should be proud of being citizens of the great country with extreme tolerance across vast canvas of religious, lingual, cultural, regional dissimilarities.”
Sethi further said the students from J&K State have to set an example of disciplined community by following laws and rules of the place where they are getting education and to mix up with their brothers and sisters of the other regions of country to create atmosphere of brotherhood and friendship to be praised and emulated by all.
BJP Chief Spokesperson further criticized the political parties, trying to do politics on the issue and taking political mileage at the cost of national interest.
“Instead of creating fear and confusion among students of the state studying outside they should guide students properly to weed out elements indulging in lawlessness and anti-nationalism for the interest of students and the state of J&K,” Sethi added.
